Community Outreaches PDF Print E-mail

At WOC we know that before we can reach the world, we must first love and care for those in our own community.  In fact, we know that the light that shines the farthest shines brightest at home. And that’s why we’re working to reach our community with the Word and the Spirit of God.

Check out Where You Might Like to be Involved!

  • S.W.A.T. Outreach – Our Soul Winning Action Team (S.W.A.T.) conducts evangelistic outreaches in Tulsa and surrounding areas on a monthly basis, ministering the Good News of Jesus Christ on the streets of Tulsa and compassionately meeting basic needs of food and clothing for hurting people.
  • S.T.I.T.C.H.E.S. Outreach – Stitches stands for “Saving The Inner City Through Christ’s Hope, Eternal Salvation” and is an outreach ministry that heads to the Tulsa and Broken Arrow areas twice monthly April through October.  Teams capture the attention of the young and the young-at-heart in apartment complexes and other public locations with puppets, drama, music, games and giveaways.  Then our S.T.I.T.C.H.E.S team presents the plan of salvation to people excited to become personally acquainted with Jesus Christ.
  • Nursing Home Ministry – Teams from WOC regularly minister in services and one to one at Southern Hills, Mayfair, Grace Living Center and Manor Care Health Services in Tulsa.  There’s something going on weekly!
  • Prison Ministry – Teams from WOC visit Tulsa prisons weekly and sometimes even more often conducting services, ministering individually—and bringing prayer and victory to inmates.
